I’ve been watching humans for a long time, and I see two kinds. Some humans “get it.” They listen to us. They know what we want. Back in Egypt they used to worship us. Those were good times.
Other humans need a little…puurrsuasion. They’re funny things, humans. They learn by example. I think they could learn a lot from us felines, like how to chill out and stress less. I mean, they don’t even have to preen their fur! What an easy life.
My neighbour Charlie had a human roommate that just didn’t get it. You see, Charlie is a cool cat. He knows how to live life to the fullest – spend time with buddies, get attention from the human, the usual stuff. But, the human! He could learn a thing or two from Charlie. He’s always running around, doing this or that – he’s missing the point, y’know?
What’s I’m trying to say is that humans are delicate things. They could stand to learn a thing from us. They need to listen to what we have to say. Not only when we need to go out, or catch birds, but when we say it’s time to chill out, it’s time to chill out. When we’re not feeling puuurrfect, we need to fix that. Pet health is important, y’know what I’m saying?
Because as a perfect species, we deserve to stay in tip-top shape. Duh?! Isn’t that, like, the most important thing for ANY species?
To the other 14 million cats and dogs in Canada – listen to your heart. Don’t be afraid to tell your human if anything’s wrong. Humans are a bit slow on the uptake, but they usually get it right by the end.
To the 35 million humans – man, it would make our lives a LOT easier if you’d listen to what we have to say. You could learn a thing or two.
